Back-end Developer, .NET and Azure
We are growing our Bangkok development team and looking for one or two back-end developers who want to build integrations and services that carry real enterprise workloads in Europe.
About us
Cartagena is a specialist consultancy built around Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and the Power Platform. We are around 25 people: 15 in Norway across Oslo and Bergen, a wholly owned development team in Thailand and a partner team in Mumbai. Our ambition is to become the leading CRM vendor in the Norwegian enterprise market, with CRM and AI as our two core disciplines. We build on our own products, including Cartagena Link, a standardised integration platform between Dynamics 365 Sales and ERP.
Our clients are membership organisations, the automotive industry, shipping and logistics, with particular depth in RoRo, as well as industry and trade. The projects are genuine enterprise deliveries: many users, heavy integrations, and solutions that have to hold up over years.
About the role
You will build the back end behind our Dynamics 365 and Power Platform deliveries: integrations between D365 and ERP systems, Azure services, plug-ins and APIs. Much of it runs on Cartagena Link, our own integration platform, so you will be extending a product, not starting from scratch each time.
You work directly with our solution architects in Norway, who bring you the design and the context. Our tech lead in Bangkok is responsible for technical quality and will be close to your work day to day. Working language with Norway is English.
What we are looking for
- at least 3 years of professional back-end development in C# and .NET
- hands-on experience with Azure: Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps or similar
- solid understanding of REST APIs and integration between systems, including error handling, retries and idempotency
- you write code that others can maintain, and you test it
- professional English, spoken and written
Strong plus
- Dataverse, Dynamics 365 plug-ins or Power Platform experience
- SQL and data modelling
- Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-204, PL-400 or similar)
- experience working with distributed teams across time zones

- A working session where we look at design and code together. No take-home assignment.
