Data Engineer, Microsoft Fabric
We are building a data and analytics team in Bangkok and looking for a data engineer who wants to work with Microsoft Fabric on real client deliveries in Europe.
About us
Cartagena is a specialist consultancy built around Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and the Power Platform. We help organisations in Norway and internationally develop sales, customer service and marketing through better work processes and connected CRM solutions.
Our ambition is to become the leading CRM vendor in the Norwegian enterprise market, with CRM and AI as our core disciplines. We are building on our CRM expertise with an investment in AI that gives clients better decision support, more efficient follow-up and less manual work.
We work with organisations that have complex processes and system landscapes, where CRM has to work with the rest of the business. We connect Dynamics 365 CE with portals, CPQ, Microsoft Fabric and ERP. We also develop our own products, including Cartagena Link, a standardised integration platform between Dynamics 365 Sales and ERP.
Our clients include membership and interest organisations and companies in automotive, shipping and logistics, industry, trade and forestry. In shipping we have particular depth in RoRo.
We are around 25 people, with 15 in Norway across Oslo and Bergen, a wholly owned development team in Thailand and a partner team in Mumbai. That gives us a combination of local client contact and international development capacity.
About the role
We already deliver Power BI, data models and dataflows to our clients, and we are now building data and analytics as its own practice area with Microsoft Fabric at the centre.
You build the data platform behind it: pipelines, lakehouses and data models that collect data from Dynamics 365, Dataverse, ERP and other sources, and the Power BI reports on top.
You work with our data and analytics team and architects in Norway, who bring the design and client context, and with the development team in Bangkok. Working language with Norway is English.
What we are looking for
- at least 3 years of professional data engineering
- hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory or Synapse
- strong SQL and data modelling
- Power BI and DAX
- professional English, spoken and written
Strong plus
- Python or Spark notebooks
- Dataverse or Dynamics 365 as a data source
- DP-600 or DP-700
- experience working with distributed teams across time zones
